Yesterday was the Grand Re-Opening of Chill Café in Ella!
If you have explored this little island full of wonders, we are pretty sure you haven't missed Chill Café, a chill place like no other, a great travel ambience, serving a variety of SriLankan and international food by an excellent, super-friendly staff! Situated right on the main strip of misty mountains of Ella, Chill Café is the best place to please your tastebuds in a spacious and chilled environment. Well-known around the world, many tourists have been visiting this amazing place over the years, and surely, Chill Café team have given them many more than just food!
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some tourists were stuck in Ella, Sri Lanka due to the pandemic. During this period, proving the well knowm hospitality of Sri Lankans, owner Darshana and the team of Chill Café did a great job, supporting the tourists who were stuck and far away from home, by providing them food and other supplies. Importantly, the dedicated team of Chill Café did their best to make those travelers feel at-home, showing them the love and care. Surely more than food, isn't it?
Eversince, Chill Café became well-reputed and undoubtedly a topic all over the world, for what they have done as a team during the pandemic.
And they were doing more than that! During those days, team Chill Café decided to add some charme to this place, to renovate and making it more spacious. After one year of hard work, they have completed the renovations of Chill Café, creating more artistic space for more memories!
Adding more art & Sri Lankanness to your experience, all their dishes, cutlery, furniture and decorations were carefully designed and hand-made by the incredible team of Chill Café.
Yesterday, Friday April 9, was the re-opening of Chill Café. We, Team SriLankan Pearl, were invited to witness this moment and to celebrate this milestone with them. It was a wonderful evening, a great show of Line One Band, Jaya Sri and many others, great food and yummy drinks, and the staff was amazing as ever!
